9. Pregnancy Home Test Using Hydrogen Peroxide and Tylenol (Paracetamol)
Tylenol is a common pain medicine found in many households. Hydrogen Peroxide is not so common, but it can be purchased from a chemist and is often found in bleaches.
The ingredients for this test to check pregnancy at home without kit are not that common. But it is very accurate and thus worthy of being discussed.
To perform the test:
- Take one tablet of Tylenol (any strength) and crush it in a bowl.
- Add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide to it.
- Let this mixture wait for about half an hour.
- Pee in another bowl and add the mixture of Tylenol and hydrogen peroxide to it.
The HCG will react with the solution and it will change color to blue indicating pregnancy. Hence, no change in color means that you’re not pregnant.
